We break the day into four focused build hours, with games and breaks in between. Each camp may have slightly different breakdowns, but all run with this basic structure.
9:00 am – 9:30 am | Shop Prep & Daily Goals
Students arrive, stow their gear, and gather round. We lay out the objective for the day, review the blueprints, and go over the specific tool safety needed for that morning.
9:30 am – 10:30 am | Build Block 1: Instruction & Setup
Before anyone starts cutting or coding, we demonstrate the technique. Students get direct instruction, ask their questions, and start setting up their materials.
10:30 am – 10:50 am | Break
Tools down. Step away from the workbench, off the computer, grab a snack, and play some (OFFLINE) games.
10:50 am – 11:40 am | Build Block 2: Hands-On Work
Time to operate the software, run the 3D printers, or build the physical project. Instructors walk the floor to guide the work.
11:40 am – 12:20 pm | Lunch
Students clean up their immediate area and take a proper break to eat and recharge.
12:20 pm – 1:10 pm | Build Block 3: Testing & Troubleshooting
This is usually where things break. Students test what they built in the morning. When a mechanism jams or a script faults, our instructors step in to help them diagnose the problem and rebuild.
1:10 pm – 1:30 pm | Break
A quick step back to shake off the frustration of troubleshooting before finishing the day's objective.
1:30 pm – 2:20 pm | Build Block 4: Final Assembly
Locking in the day's progress. Final code compiles, final joints are secured, and the daily build is completed.
2:20 pm – 3:00 pm | Clean Up & Review
A builder respects their workspace. Students are responsible for putting away their physical tools, saving their digital files, and sweeping up. We review what worked, what failed, and what we are tackling tomorrow.
